Reading Notes: Sita Sings the Blues, Part B

Sita Sings the Blues by Nina Paley

- Does she say "that's all" at the end of her singing? 48:00

- Why did I see the breakup coming? That's so sad! 52:00

- Wow, this part is really cool! Probably my favorite part. Especially the scream-singing and trippy visuals. 52:00

- Pregnant Sita is terrifying. 57:00

- Her songs are even creepier now. 58:00

- Lakshmana taking her to the forest was so sad to read and now to watch! 60:00

- Somehow I never caught that Valmiki wrote the Ramayana because Sita told it to him. Interesting. 1:00:01.

- The birth scene, ha ha! 1:00:04

- Their debates on the unconditional love of Sita was funny. A female versus a male perspective on love, ha ha. "Hence the unconditional love." 1:00:07

- If she sinks or floats, what the heck. Ha ha. 1:00:11

- The art of this movie was interesting, but it definitely kept me entertained!
